DESCRIPTION: The causal agent for this common gall is a mite that causes leaves to curl upwards from the midrib and thus form an elongate sausge in which the mite can live. Whole bunches of leaves are usually distorted and are most often noted by the wrinkled and paler appearance. The leaves become somewhat rust coloured later in the year. DISTRIBUTION: Frequent throughout Britain wherever the host plant is found. HABITAT: Found on the leaves of Goosegrass.
